Consider this…

 I wish I’d never met you    2006

These pieces are part of a series titled “Domestic”. They are mixed media pieces that comment on the idea of home and the relationships that are established within the home. Consider the division of labor, the inequality and the power struggle among the members of any given household. Consider perhaps, the changes that the average family has experienced in the last few decades: single parent households, same sex parents, blended families of every imaginable kind…What does the domestic front look like these days? This series attemps to visually answer some of these questions.

Future images will be posted as they become available.

Warm Nest

Here is the invitation that’s being circulated for the Warm Nest exhibition at the Galerie Gang in IJmuiden, Holland. I am very happy to be part of this show and to be in the company of so many talented artists. I just hope I get to meet them in person someday…Don’t hesitate to visit the Galerie Gang site for more images of this show and some other very interesting information. A great way to expand your horizons and find out what’s happening in the European art world…

How does your garden grow?

…with pretty maids all in a row…of course… and to be fair, a few pretty gentlemen were in attendance too. We are most grateful to all.

Some nice developments (that I will explain in detail later) took place during the opening.

Opportunities arise at the least expected moment…As a preview, I will say that the very talented Mr. Evan Small and myself will collaborate for an upcoming show at the Factory in 5th Street in June 2007. It promises to be an interesting blend of techniques and styles that complement each other quite beautifully. The Factory is a great place to spend a Friday evening looking at some innovative and fresh artwork. Details will come soon…

I truly enjoy partnering with other artists for shows…not just painters….sculptors, poets…I look forward to such meetings of the minds…

If you did not have the chance to attend our opening, please visit the images posted on line at www.arthaus66.com . You are sure to enjoy the work and perhaps you’ll find something that you truly, truly need….Art is good for the soul…
